Protesting truck driver accused of using violence against a police officer
On June 30, Shapi Biyakaev, a member of the Association of Carriers of Russia, was detained in St. Petersburg. This was reported to OVD-Info by his friend. Biyakaev's car was stopped by the police at the exit from the territory of the Sofia vegetable base in St. Petersburg. The police allegedly wanted to check the tire pressure. Biyakaev asked the police officers for documents allowing a technical check of the vehicle.
