Six taxi drivers were detained for protesting near the Yandex office
The police detained six taxi drivers who participated in the action near the Yandex office in Moscow. It is reported by "Rain" according to the participants of the action, which was caused by the fact that the service "Yandex. Taxi" reduced the minimum cost of the trip. On September 20, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) issued a pilot judgment in the case of Karelin vs. Russia (No. 926/08), which considers the actual absence of the prosecution in proceedings on administrative offenses as a violation of the right to a fair trial under the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. In March 2012 the applicant was arrested for disorderly conduct and fined 500 rubles for using profanity.
