An application to hold a rally in defense of the park in May 2017 was submitted by environmental activist Yaroslav Nikitenko.

The Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Alexandra Shelepova and Yuri Gavrikov 10,000 rubles each for participating in a rally in support of LGBT people.
