The head of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region, Alexander Shestun, who was arrested on charges of abuse of office, at the insistence of doctors, stopped the hunger strike. This is reported by TASS with reference to his wife Yulia Shestun. Shestun said that on August 30, for the first time since her arrest, she was allowed to see her husband, who is in the hospital of the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center.
