The fight against Andrei Pivovarov: why the opposition politician has been persecuted for five years
Andrey Pivovarov, executive director of Open Russia, was released yesterday after 24 days of arrest for organizing protests against changes to the Constitution. Since the mid-2000s, Pivovarov at various times was a member of the RPR-PARNAS, the Opposition Coordinating Council, and participated in the presidential campaign of Alexei Navalny. OVD-Info collected cases of pressure on Pivovarov over five years: detentions, administrative and criminal cases.
