The ECHR awarded compensation for complaints from 22 participants and organizers of public events in Russia
On March 2, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) published a ruling in which it considered complaints from 22 participants and organizers of peaceful protests in Russia. The applicants' complaints concerned, in particular, the arrests on March 26, 2017 at anti-corruption rallies, on July 27, 2019 and August 3, 2019 for fair elections - against the exclusion of opposition candidates from the Moscow City Duma elections, as well as the Kursk "Monstration" on May 1, 2019 .
