The Supreme Court recognized the “LGBT movement” as an extremist organization
The Supreme Court of Russia, at the request of the Ministry of Justice, recognized LGBT people in Russia as an “extremist organization.” Mediazona reports this. The decision to ban the activities of the “movement” will take effect immediately, but liability for violating the bans may come after January 10, notes the First Department. On that day, the court decision should come into force unless an appeal is filed.
