The security forces conducted a search of an activist from the Kemerovo region, Sergei Piskunov, in connection with the case of organizing an extremist community (Part 1 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). The chairman of the Novokuznetsk branch of the Yabloko party, Denis Shakin, told OVD-Info. In the afternoon, Piskunov was detained in Kemerovo, where he was planning to lay flowers at the Eternal Flame.

In the city of Apatity, Murmansk region, Insaf Islamov, a participant in a public gathering in support of activist Fail Alsynov in Bashkortostan, was detained. His wife Gulsina Islamova reported this to OVD-Info. The woman learned about her husband’s arrest on February 6, when he called her asking her to bring her passport to the police station. Islamov also said that he was left for 48 hours before the trial to select a preventive measure.
