A Belgorod volunteer who helped Ukrainian refugees died in a pre-trial detention center
On April 5, Belgorod volunteer Alexander Demidenko, who helped Ukrainian refugees, died in a pre-trial detention center. This is reported by the publication “That’s So”. In December 2023, a 61-year-old man was refused bail. Demidenko’s kidnapping became known on October 17, when he brought a stretcher for a woman with cancer to the Kolotilovka checkpoint. As the volunteers who worked that day said, he left there in his car, accompanied by two UAZ vehicles.
