On April 23, the Leninsky District Court of annexed Sevastopol registered an administrative case against journalist Anastasia Zhvik for participation in the activities of an “undesirable organization” (Article 20.33 of the Administrative Code). The Syktyvkar city court in Komi arrested in absentia for two months from the moment of extradition chess player Garry Kasparov, ex-State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, politician, co-founder of the Russian Action Committee Ivan Tyutrin and former environmental activist Evgenia Chirikova. Journalist Yan Katelevsky, sentenced to nine and a half years in a maximum security colony, was taken from pre-trial detention center No. 6 of Kolomna in an unknown direction, a support group reports . Katelevsky and Alexander Dorogov, who is involved in the same case with him, are still awaiting an appeal against the verdict. Previously, the man was restricted from familiarizing himself with the case materials, and one of the defense lawyers was deprived of access to them.

The Vygonichsky District Court of the Bryansk Region sent to a pre-trial detention center a local resident accused of inciting voluntary surrender (Article 352.1 of the Criminal Code using Part 4 of Article 33 of the Criminal Code). The investigation claims that in May 2023 the man corresponded with a Russian military man who was at war with Ukraine and called on the latter to surrender.

The Anadyr City Court of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug sentenced in absentia the spouses Anastasia and Roman Nazaruk, who left the country, to seven years in prison each in cases of disseminating “fakes” about the Russian army motivated by hatred (clause “d”, part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Anastasia reported this to OVD-Info; case cards are available on court websites. Roman Nazaruk was sentenced on April 10, Anastasia on April 23.
