Anti-war activist dies in Birobidzhan pretrial detention center after dry hunger strike
On July 27, 39-year-old pianist Pavel Kushnir died in one of the pretrial detention centers in Birobidzhan after a dry hunger strike. This was reported by the publication Vot Tak, citing his pianist friend Olga Shkrygunova and the head of the Rus Sidyashchaya foundation Olga Romanova. Romanova said that Kushnir was on a dry hunger strike and "his body couldn't take it." How many days the hunger strike lasted and what the reasons were were not specified.
