A former military man from St. Petersburg has had his punishment toughened in the case of “fake news” about the army.
The St. Petersburg City Court, in an appeal, tightened the sentence of former military man Sergei Lintsov: from four to five years in prison in the case of distributing “fakes” about the Russian army motivated by hatred (clause “d”, part 2, article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). This is reported by MR7. The man was detained in September 2023, and since then Lintsov has been under arrest.
