The playwright left Russia following 'carousel arrests' and the threat of a treason case.

They forced him into a car and took him to the flat where he was staying for a few days. Retikh says few people knew this address. The officers searched the flat and took his electronic devices.

Playwright Dmitry Retikh left the country in 2025 after four consecutive administrative arrests, First Department reports . Retikh was detained on June 20 in the center of Moscow by four security officers wearing masks and carrying machine guns. He was forced into a car and taken to an apartment where he stayed for several days. Retih says that few people knew this address. Security forces conducted a search and seized the equipment.

The 1st Western District Military Court sentenced St. Petersburg State University student Harry Azaryan to two years in a penal colony in the case of justifying terrorism (Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). “Paper” writes about this. Before this, Azaryan spent eight months in a pre-trial detention center.
