For the first time, Ironman triathlon competitions were held in St. Petersburg
In St. Petersburg on August 1, Ironman 70.3 triathlon competitions were held - for the first time in Russia. Participants were waiting for a swim for 1.9 kilometers, a cycling on a highway for 90.1 kilometers and a race of 20.1 kilometers. Due to the competition, some streets were blocked on the Vasilyevsky Island and the Petrograd side. "Paper" shows what was happening in the city, and tells how the townspeople competed.
