The “March of Equality”, successfully held by KyivPride, is not just another legal gay pride in Ukraine (which is also important), but truly a significant and symbolic event. As you know, the fate of “minorities” in society is always a test situation for assessing the quality of a particular democracy. If a social group has access to public discussion of its problems and can make them the subject of public discussion, we can safely speak of the usefulness of such democracy.
