Homosexuals and parental families
Homosexual people may find it more difficult than heterosexual people to acknowledge any difficulties in relationships in their families of origin. This complexity stems from the homophobic trope "If a child grows up gay, it's the parents' fault." And then a splash of various statements about “single mothers”, “overprotective mothers”, “difficulties in relationships with fathers”, “too cold/distant mothers”, “too involved fathers”.
