Interruptions in HIV treatment
Treatment of HIV is a long and responsible process. In most cases, once a person begins treatment, they must continue it for the rest of their lives and at the same time try to take all medications exactly as prescribed by the doctor, which is obviously easier said than done. Generally speaking, it is not recommended to take breaks in treatment. Clinical studies show that stopping treatment often makes it harder to fight HIV over time and makes it more dangerous to your health.
