A rally in defense of the rights of national minorities takes place in Riga
In the Latvian capital, about 10 thousand Russian schoolchildren and their parents began today a protest in defense of education in their native language, ITAR-TASS reports. “Latvia joins the EU, and we hope that Brussels will still pay attention to the problems of national minorities in the country,” said the headquarters in defense of Russian schools, Alexander Kazakov.
