All the past year I was pursued by numbers - on huge street "stretch marks", on narrow, ragged leaflets in the metro wagons, it was: "1937-2007". But these were by no means the announcement of the "bloody dawn of totalitarianism", the return of which has long been predicted by local Cassandra. With the rise, it was not the seventieth anniversary of the beginning of the "Great Terror", as one might think, but the anniversary of the last flight of Chelyuskin.
