Russia will collect more than 100 million tons of grain in 2008. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexey Gordeev, at the “government hour” in the Federation Council, Vesti reports. “According to preliminary estimates, grain growers will harvest more than 100 million tons of grain in net weight,” he said. According to him, the country will fully satisfy its domestic needs for food grains and animal feed, and its export potential will increase.
