Airports of Great Britain and Ireland are closed due to a cloud of volcanic ash
Khitrovo and Gatwik London airports, like many other airports in the UK, are closed due to a cloud of volcanic ash coming from Iceland, BBC reports citing the National Aviation Service. Initially, the British civil aviation department forbade flights only over Northern Ireland, but then the airports in England and Scotland, as well as on the island of Maine, were closed.
