Deputies want to save minor prostitutes from fines
The chairman of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Elena Mizulina, together with the deputies of all four factions, made a proposal to the parliament on the abolition of fines for prostitution for minors. This was reported by the Russian Newspaper . Currently, people over 16 years old can be fined for prostitution. The deputies are sure that this norm is contrary to some international acts, in particular to one of the protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
