The habits of cute antiquity
This year, on Shrovetide week from March 11 to March 17, thousands of Russians will again try to join the “Russian antiquity” and recall the “original traditions”. This old man, however, can be called a pan -European one. The French Mardi Gras, the South German (and, partially, Austrian and Swiss) Fastnacht or Fasching, the English Shrove Tuesday, as well as Fastlavn, widespread in the countries of Northern Europe, are also accompanied by public events and abundant treats.
