Film from Africa wins seven Cesar awards
The film "Timbuktu" by Mauritanian director Abderrahmane Sissako, which tells about the atrocities of jihadists in northern Mali, became a triumphant of the prestigious French film award "Cesar", reports AFP Last Friday in Paris, the film received seven awards out of eight nominations - “Best Sound”, “Best Film Music”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Editing”, and “Best Original Screenplay”. In addition, Abderrahmane Sissako was recognized as best director.
