Germany: Gold repatriation
The Central Bank of Germany (Bundesbank) once again reported on the progress of the return of gold reserves to the country, most of which are abroad. To date, according to the bank, in Frankfurt there are more than 1,400 tons of gold, which is 41.5% of the total reserve. By 2020, it is planned to transfer 50% of its gold belonging to Germany. The president of the bank, as noted in the note on the N24 portal, Jens Weidmann emphasized that the procedure fits well in the intended time.
