Firefly, neurons, planets
On June 10, 2000, the solemn opening of the Millennium bridge was held in London. The pedestrian bridge over the Thames is 370 meters long and weighing 690 tons was suspended on steel cables. The queen arrived. Finally, the first pedestrians were launched onto the bridge. But after a few minutes, curiosity on their faces gave way to fright. The bridge swayed noticeably like a wriggling snake. The fluctuations intensified, and their amplitude reached 20 centimeters.
