The share of illegal cigarettes in Russia doubled over the year
The share of illegal cigarettes, during which the excise tax was not paid to the budget, over the past year has almost doubled in Russia, the results of a study conducted by the independent research group Nielsen, reports RBC . According to experts, in the third quarter of 2018, the share of such cigarettes, which include, in particular, counterfeit and smuggled products, increased to 8.4% of the total volume of the Russian market against 4.5% in July-Seti 2017.
