32 types of frogs, considered disappeared, managed to survive
Researchers re-discovered about half of the species of frog-arillecins, which, as it was believed, died out due to a dangerous disease that struck all amphibians. Since the 1990s, the world has been covered by a pandemic of the disease, fatal for frogs, toads, newns and other amphibians. The disease is called cunning, and causes its pathogenic fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (brief designation - BD).
