Freedom of assembly: do not be afraid and act!
New norms for those who had a taste for mass protests were hatched, voted on and approved from above in 2 months. Society will remember this masterpiece of fast lawmaking for a long time. It is too defiantly ugly and contradicts not only common sense, but also banal legislation: national, as well as international. Criminalization of protest - illegitimation of the law The new legislation is an illegitimate and, by the way, illegal criminalization of the right to freedom of assembly.

Football mirror
The Russian team played well against the Greeks. Strong average players whose place is not in the hall of fame. There was not enough fighting spirit, there was only hysteria. But the fighting spirit is nowhere to be found, given the situation in our football. 4 years ago, the Russian team jumped over their heads, reached the semi-finals of the European Championship, and since then we have lived by what is, by and large, an accidental success.

Oh sport, you're fat
It turns out that not only Polish, Zenit and Croatian fans know how to turn a sports festival into a disgrace. National Olympic committees also cope well with this task. In today's edition of The Sunday Times - a large report on the results of a journalistic investigation, during which reporters, posing as ticket speculators from the Middle East, received offers for the illegal sale of tickets from 27 agents representing the Olympic committees of 54 countries.

Siberia woke up and fell asleep
On Sunday, mayoral elections were held in Omsk. The United Russia candidate Vyacheslav Dvorakovsky won. While Moscow and St. Petersburg are experiencing a boom in civic and opposition activity, Omsk unexpectedly saw record low turnout. A week ago, under the same conditions, elections for the mayor of Krasnoyarsk were held, and a representative of the ruling party predictably became the head of the city.

Not for profit...
The Russians have again upset sociologists. That's not what they dream about. They just want to live quietly, without frills. Women still believe in the rewards of hard work, and men believe that Emelya is the coolest of all. New Izvestia provides the results of a sociological survey conducted by researchers from the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Is our whole life football?
I don’t know why or how this happened, but we don’t have more political sporting competitions than football. Can anyone spot the political subtext in Sharapova's fight with an American, a German, an Englishwoman or a Serbian? Hardly... Even in hockey, when the USSR “fought” the “class enemy” Canadians, I believe there was less political confrontation than when the “brotherly” teams of Ukraine and Russia meet in recent history.

Landslides
In the article “Scam,” I have already written about large-scale budgetary injections into the APEC Vladivostok 2012 Summit worth almost $10 billion, which is five times more expensive than the Olympics in Vancouver. The construction of two bridges to Russky Island across the Golden Horn Bay and the Eastern Bosphorus Strait alone will cost more than $2 billion. Moreover, the total length of the bridges is less than three kilometers.

The good car of the truth is already working
A. Navalny proposed creating a good car of truth (DMP) - an information resource independent of official propaganda, telling about the true state of affairs in the country. In conditions of total censorship on TV channels and in mass newspapers, this idea is both relevant and correct. There is a wonderful example of the work of DMP. Back in September 2009, together with Leonid Martynyuk, we decided to make a series of videos exposing the lie of the Putin regime.

Petrovka, 38 and prisoners of Bolotnaya
Today we visited the detention center, and in it - ten prisoners in the Bolotnaya case. It's hard to find people who are so different from each other. Some are calm, others are joking, others are confused. Some are twenty, others are over thirty. Some do not believe the investigation and the trial, others hope and count on them. Some categorically do not give evidence, others talk and talk in the hope of demonstrating a mistake made in their regard. We talked to them and asked questions.
