#saroblelections: “We are mourners, but we are not suckers”
The man who once introduced me to the realities of Saratov politics used to say: “The only thing that hinders the holding of elections is the presence of voters.” Elections in the Saratov region are, indeed, like a military conflict between the authorities and the people. On October 14, elections to the Saratov Regional Duma were held. That is, of course, there were no elections.

After the elections: results, motives, conclusions, expectations
Someone has already drawn the main conclusions regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the past elections to the Constitutional Court, someone continues to call them a farce, a way to “legitimize” Navalny, someone is skeptical about them, partly boycotting them, partly preferring to observe what is happening from the sidelines . And someone wants to convince others that, among other things, the elections to the Constitutional Court are no better or fairer than those held by the authorities.

Our future may be worse
The case of Leonid Razvozzhaev, who was kidnapped on the territory of a neighboring country, tortured and eventually confessed in the case of the riots on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow on May 6 of this year, again made many of us think about what time and what country we live in. What does the Russian political landscape look more like this October - the Soviet Union on the eve of the Great Terror? On the USSR before the collapse?

About us and with us
Razvozzhaev's kidnapping and torture. Everyone is in shock. For many people, this has only now become a reality. In the Caucasus, all this has been going on for many years. They tortured me with electric shocks and forced needles under my nails. Was it just that people who were arrested were thrown out of the windows? And you know what, I’ve been wanting to say this for a long time. Many people have been pretending all these years that the Caucasus is not about us. This is not with us.
