Local historians report the discovery of mammoth remains in Kabardino-Balkaria
Local historians from Nalchik Maria and Viktor Kotlyarov report that the remains of a mammoth were found in Kabardino-Balkaria. “In the clay cliff near the confluence of the Kurp and Sukhoi Kurp rivers, we found mammoth tusks. The more than the meter part of one of them, who was at the bottom of the slope, managed to photograph (without conservation, the tusk crumbled into many small pieces right before our eyes), the second remains walled up in clay,” Viktor Kotlyarov told the agency.
