"Swamp business": the activist was trimmed, fucked and arrested

Two more searches were held in Orel (Publicpost reported earlier about searches from two Oryol human rights activists) - investigators came to the leader of the local branch of the United Civil Front Georgy Sargsyan and journalist and blogger Vladimir Morozov.

Search in Moscow St. Petersburg
So, I'm back from a week's trip and again with you. There will be new reports ahead from vacations and holidays, which turned out to be very eventful and varied, but for now let’s touch on the photos from the beginning of this year. We will talk about Moscow, but since the northern capital is somehow closer to my liking, we will try to find something more typical of St. Petersburg with its beautiful front doors and courtyards.

Art festival "Bird 2013". Day two
The largest cultural event of the year in Veliky Novgorod has ended. So far, apart from “Bird”, no one as “sweeping” is visible on the horizon. Well, there will be a jazzfest, Dekafest, and several more festivals. But this one tried to embrace the immensity. A lot was achieved; in any case, on the second day many of those who could not liberate themselves on the first became liberated. After yesterday’s post about the first day of the festival, some accused me of blaming everyone for nothing.

The fires are coming! Or the wonderful country of Ukhtubuga
Ukhtubuzh on Unzha. There's a lot of unusual stuff here. Let's start with the Ukhtubug church, which is fit to be included in the Book of Records: after all, it has been under construction for... 100 years. It happened like this: they started building it under the tsar, but when the revolution arrived, they didn’t have time to consecrate it. After a long period associated with well-known events, they decided to finish the construction, but they never raised the money.

Art festival "Bird 2013". Day one
The first day of the art festival showed that the current “Bird” is not at all the same “Bird” that was in Pankovka a year ago. There were more groups, more participants, more serious organizers (after all, the Youth House irradiation institution got involved), more guests. In general, there is more of everything. But does more mean better? Personally, I was left with a double impression. I liked a lot, but there were also some not-so-pleasant moments.

The basis of street crime is drug addiction, says the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Mikhail Vanichkin said that four out of five street robbers abuse drugs. "But there is an even more terrible continuation (of drug addiction - editor's note) - then comes the stage of committing serious crimes. These are murders and crimes that are typical for the North Caucasus, where people from simple drug addicts turn into zombies. They are processed very quickly.
