Representatives of the countries neighboring with Afghanistan at a meeting in New York approved the UN plan to suppress the spread of heroin produced in this country. The plan provides in particular the expansion of regional cooperation in the fight against drug smuggling. According to UN experts, Afghanistan is still the largest manufacturer of heroin in the world. The UN plan was approved by China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the United States.
