Historical calendar on April 10 - 16
On April 10, 1945, the day after the fall of Koenigsberg, Soviet gunners were located in the Koenigsberg Castle, and two days later in the northern wing of the building, where the Amber Room was taken by the Germans, which destroyed its fire. This became known from the notes of the former Amber Room Obstar, Anatoly Kuchumov, who died in 1993. The document is stored in the Central State Archive of Literature and Arts in St. Petersburg.
