A monument to the dead journalists is opened in France

In Latvia, parliamentary elections are recognized as held. According to the Central Election Commission, the appearance in the elections exceeded 62 percent. There were no serious violations. In 68 regions of Russia, elections to local authorities are held today. They elect deputies of regional parliaments and mayors of several cities. In a number of regions, elections of local governments and missions of deputies of the State Duma are held. The elections in Primorye, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Sakhalin, Kemerovo, Astrakhan and Lipetsk regions, as well as the mayor’s elections in Samara were recognized. In total, 14 million citizens can take part in the vote.
