In Kyrgyzstan, one of the leaders of the opposition, the former speaker of the parliament, the head of the Ata-Meken party, Omurbek Tekebaev, was detained. As Interfax was told in the party headquarters, Tekebaev was heading to the city of Talas in the north of Kyrgyzstan to a party conference. The car in which the opposition was located was stopped by the police. Tekebaev was detained for illegal storage of weapons.
