Inflation in Russia for the first week of September was zero
Inflation in Russia for the period from September 1 to September 7 was zero, and since the beginning of the year it amounted to 8.1%, the Federal Statistics Service said. For comparison, for the same periods of 2008, the growth rate of consumer prices in the country amounted to 0.1% and 9.8%. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, in 2009, inflation in Russia should not exceed 12%. In 2008, it amounted to 13.3%, becoming maximum over the past six years.
