Lukashenko: Minsk seeks to be friends with both the EU and Russia
President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, who is on a working visit to Lithuania, confirmed the readiness of Minsk to develop a dialogue with European countries. According to Radio Liberty in Vilnius Irina Peters, speaking at the Lithuanian-Belarusian Economic Forum, Lukashenko said that he was striving for friendly relations with both the European Union and Russia. “It is wrong to impose a choice between Europe and Russia,” he said, “we are a connecting bridge between the West and the East.
