The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia suggested resetting duties for the import of grain
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia made an offer to the government to reduce imported customs duties on grain to zero, primarily on barley and fodder wheat, said the head of the ministry Elena Skrynnik. In ordinary years, Russia imports no more than 1 million tons of grain per year. However, this year, due to the abnormal heat, grain harvest in the country was reduced by about a third compared to last year, amounting to a little more than 60 million tons.
