From the first to the thirteenth
Dying Christmas holidays - a purely Russian phenomenon, a consequence of a double calendar. Before the revolution, when Russia lived according to the Julian chronology, the unprofitable were three days in December (Christmas of Christ), as well as January 1 and 6 (New Year and Epiphany). Now we have from the 1st to the 5th New Year holidays, and the 7th is Christmas. However, the people have not forgotten about the old New Year, that is, they walk as much as possible until the 13th inclusive.
