The volume of Russian foreign trade during 2011 increased by 31% and amounted to $ 821 billion as a whole, the Federal Customs Service said. Export increased by 30% to the level of 2010 - up to $ 516 billion, and imports to Russia - by 33%, exceeding $ 305 billion. Thus, the excess of export over imports, or the positive foreign trade balance of Russia, amounted to $ 210 billion - by 25% more than in 2010.
