The New Year in American politics came 23 hours later than the calendar - shortly before midnight on Tuesday, on January 1, when the House of Representatives of the US Congress adopted a bill approved by the Senate, which avoids a sharp increase in income tax for most Americans. Thus, the problem was finally resolved, known as “fiscal cliff” - the expiration of tax benefits by January 1, the disappearance of which would noticeably affect the pockets of voters.
