The State Duma approved the tightening of punishment for extremism
The Russian State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on tightening criminal and administrative punishments for an extremist crimes. According to Interfax, it is proposed, in particular, to increase the terms of imprisonment for public calls for extremism, the initiation of enmity on racial, religious, sexual and other signs, as well as for organizing and participating in extremist communities. According to the agency, the number of extremist crimes continues to grow in Russia.
