Former Yukos lawyer was sentenced in absentia to 8 years in colony
The Gagarinsky court of Moscow in absentia sentenced to eight years in prison of the former lawyer of the oil company Yukos Natalya Lechbinskaya. The court also decided to recover from her 400 thousand rubles of a fine in state revenue, Russian agencies said on Tuesday. Lechbinsky, who was engaged in the legal support of Yukos bankruptcy, found guilty of fraud in an especially large scale, perfect in the organized group, laundering of funds received by criminal means, as well as in embezzlement.
