"Doomed to painful death." Why is it dangerous to save animals in Russia
The Moscow zoo defender Alexei Tikhomirov, who was trying to save cats walled up in the basement, is accused of a threat to murder (Article 119 of Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He faces up to two years in prison. An application was written by Muscovite Anatoly Vaganov, who attacked Tikhomirov, and then asked him 200 thousand rubles as a "settlement agreement". Soon, the case against the zoo defender will be transferred to court.
