Oppositionist Zuzan Chaputov was elected by the President of Slovakia
Zuzan Chaputov, a lawyer and an opposition activist, was elected president of Slovakia. In the second round of the elections, which was held on Wednesday, she gained more than 58 percent of the vote, ahead of the deputy head of the European Commission Marosh Shefchovich supported by the ruling party. Shefchovich has already congratulated the opponent on the victory. More than 1 million people gave a voice in support of Chaputov. She became the first woman - the president of Slovakia.
