RAS announced the termination of the only Russian orbital telescope
The only Russian orbital telescope Spectr-R has stopped working. This was announced by the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeyev. According to the president, the mission of the Radio Astron project, within which the telescope was launched, ended, writes Medusa. The project was conceived back in the 70s of the XX century and was implemented in the early 2000s. In January, Russian scientists lost touch with the telescope.
