Trump appointed US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan
US President Donald Trump announced on Friday the appointment of John Sullivan Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States in the Russian Federation. After the approval of the candidacy of Sullivan, the US Senate, he will take a post at which John Huntsman was previously resigned on October 3, 2019. Currently, 59-year-old John Sullivan serves as deputy secretary, being in this position since May 2017. In April 2018, he temporarily acted as the head of the State Department.
