Half of Russians with HIV did not receive an annual course of therapy
Almost 600 thousand people of the total number of HIV-infected patients in Russia in 2020 did not receive therapy. This was reported by RBC with reference to the annual coalition report on readiness for treatment, in which the state procurement of the drugs necessary for HIV is analyzed. The drugs from the human immunodeficiency virus purchased in 2020 cover the needs of only about 46 percent of registered patients - this is 505 thousand annual courses, the study says.
