The journalist who was on Defender revealed the details of the incident near Crimea
The BBC military correspondent Jonathan Bil, who is on board the British destroyer Defender, revealed the details of the incident off the coast of the annexed Crimea on Wednesday. According to him, the commander, apparently, deliberately held the ship by the relevant route, near the coast of Crimea, in order to demonstrate to Moscow a commitment to international law, according to which the peninsula and the water surrounding it belong not to Russia, but to Ukraine.
